Unreasonable East Africa

Is lack of capital preventing your company from growing? Unreasonable East Africa has the mentors you need to become funding ready! For UEA alumni, KadAfrica, Mentors Sammy Senyimba and Toni Maraviglia helped the team learn how to navigate funder relations and secure investment–ultimately closing enough capital to sustain continued growth since 2014.

Unreasonable East Africa is a 10-month program, supporting high potential businesses in strategic planning, financing, marketing and team building, to scale them in the market.

In the past three years Unreasonable East Africa has worked with 29 companies from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan who have gone on to collectively raise over $5.2 million $US in funding, created over 380 jobs and meaningfully benefited the lives of over 850,000 people. They also work with over 100 high profile mentors and have access to hundreds of funders within their network. Past Unreasonable East Africa fellows have described  the program as surreal, "in that it almost never happens in the real world that you can walk to the ping pong table band have a 45 minutes chat with someone who works on high level strategy for a government in East Africa."
